Cornish roots of the surname[edit]
All other sources suggest that the English surname is derived from the word 'chine' - a steep ravine,so is locationally derived rather than fron the 'chin' facial feature. 86.128.110.221 (talk) 13:14, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
