Are chondrocytes usually multinucleate or do they usu. just have one? 160.94.27.223 (talk) 03:28, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Like most cells in the body they only have a single nucleus. Ka Faraq Gatri (talk) 22:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

is the first image provided for chondrocyte correct..because i can see exactly same image for apopotosis..plz make corrections — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonal1947 (talkcontribs) 18:49, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- The image is correct. However, as you've noticed it also depicts apoptosis - aka programmed cell death. The photograph is showing the fusing of the growth plates. The chondrocytes in the middle of the picture are undergoing natural, programmed degeneration - eventually leading to their apoptosis. The chondrocytes at the top of the picture are mature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.238.25.232 (talk) 05:30, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Articular Chrondrocyte is an orphan, a stub and contains 1 sentace of information. Either it is edited to form a respecable article or it is merged. It is helpful to have all of the information on one subject in a page unless some topics are too big for that. In my opinion, we should merge it anyway for now. Merjer complete. If you want to change it, draw data from it, ensure that links go directly to it, etc., then follow this link [1]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.181.137.200 (talk) 10:21, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
