Opinions on deletion[edit]

KeepEmote Talk Page 05:30, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This crazy! Everyone else on this show has their own article. (see below) What do we have against Chris?

The debate is here. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 12:05, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Poor reference for expulsion from Bob Jones University[edit]

The reference provided (the Greenville News article) makes no reference to Sligh being expelled from BJU, merely that he "left." While I'm not saying I know either way what happened -- I don't, and "he left" could certainly be a euphemism for expulsion -- the reference itself doesn't stand up to the test. Can we find another reference that makes the case more clearly and explicitly? Moncrief 13:54, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Sligh bragged about being expelled from BJU on his blog, but the blog's apparently been taken down. The wording in the article should be left as is unless a verifiable source can be found. The following (though as evidence, no better than gossip) I found on the web: "I went to college with Chris. He actually made it all the way through most of his senior year before being expelled for listening to music that was not in line with BJU's beliefs....So I wouldn't say that Chris made the conscious decision to leave BJ, I think he was asked to leave. But he did make the choice to seek out the christian contemporary music, which he knew would lead to his departure at BJ. For someone to make it through four years of school at BJU, there is no way he would not be aware of the music policies at the school, and I'm also shocked that he would waste all of that time there and get kicked out so close to graduation."--John Foxe 16:49, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fro Patro[edit]

Do any of you think that the fact that fans of his are seen holding up signs that say 'Fro Patro during and after his performances should be on this page, as a reference to Taylor Hicks' Soul Patrol? Should it be on Taylor Hicks' page? Or should it be on neither of them? Just a suggestion. --LuigiManiac | Talk 14:29, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind about this, probably not notable enough now. --LuigiManiac 01:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplication[edit]

Why are his semifinals and finals performances listed twice, once in a table and once in a bulleted list? --zenohockey 03:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of paragraph about American Idol Controversy[edit]

I just removed a paragraph that erroneously stated Chris almost lost his place on AI because of a fake blog. According to Chris' own official blog, this was not the case.

I have made some mistakes in my editing in the past. I hope to prove I can be a trustworthy editor again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjvess (talkcontribs) 03:20, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
