I created the page chuiwan on the wictionary. Should we keep this article as is or move what is here to History of golf? Or should we put chuiwan kolven and the definitions of the others all on one article called origin of golf. It just seems unnessessary for chuiwan to have its own article. username 1 (talk) 18:26, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They (Wikipedia & Wiktionary) are two separate projects and should not be confused. Chuiwan is distinct from golf and any attempt to merge into a golf article would be inappropriate. Any discussion on whether it should be kept should be reserved for an AfD, but I can see no reason for deletion. wjematherbigissue 18:23, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Chuiwan is not golf. It is a game in its own right and a possible forerunner of golf, that is all. Likewise for kolven, or any other stick and ball game. They are mentioned appropriately in golf and history of golf as related games.
