Location of the Church of St Leonard relative to Farleigh Hungerford Castle[edit]

I am unsure about the statement that "It [the church] was once within the outer walls of Farleigh Hungerford Castle...". If the statement is correct, then the outer walls of the castle would have extended 200m beyond the outer court.

The castle chapel, which built by Sir Thomas Hungerford, was the parish church. It was enclosed within the outer court by Sir Thomas Hungerford's son, Walter, the 1st Lord Hungerford. I believe the 1st Lord Hungerford built the Church of St Leonard as a replacement for the castle chapel, but beyond the outer court. (See History of Farleigh Hungerford Castle.)
