This is the original badly-mangled English that I managed to fix up a little bit, incorporating whatever I could parse, which was almost nothing.

The history of film-making in Nepal starts with the movie "Aama" (black and white) but "Satya Harishchandra" (directed by D.B. Pariyar) is considered as the first Nepali film. This movie is a silent film. The Movie "Aama" is a motion picture produced by Nepal Chalchitra Sansthan.

The First internationl movie is "Ko Aafno Ko Paraya",(in internationl language, "East Meets West" which is going to be shoot (or filming) in the dirrerent cities of the U.S.A.(New York,Florida,New Jerssey,Washington D.C.) and different cities of the Japan. This movie production started from 1998 till 2004. The Movie "Ko Aafno Ko Paraya" is directed by Director Suman Rimal http://sumanrimal.blogspot.com

Years

Is it possible to add some years for different events and films in this article? I guess information about the current situation will not be current in a couple of years, so it would be useful to have years in there now, even if they are just '2007'.

The other thing, I know it's hard not to be affectionate thinking about Nepal :) , but the article will unfortunately need to become more formal in tone.

Initials

I noticed some of the names were using initials. It would be good to have full names. I can see if I can fix these myself, but I'm no expert!

Orphaned references in Cinema of Nepal

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Cinema of Nepal's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

"Current movies"

The section seen here (permanent link) on current programming in cinemas of Nepal, added by SamridhTmrk, is inappropriate for several reasons.

• This article is about "the filmmaking industry in Nepal" (per the introduction of the article). Movies from India, the US, and other countries that are showing in various cinemas in Nepal have nothing to do with the filmmaking industry in Nepal.
• The Manual of Style states that "terms such as now, currently, to date, so far, soon, and recently should usually be avoided in favor of phrases such as during the 2010s, since 2010, and in August 2020." It is not encyclopedic information which movies are showing at present, or what is expected to show in Nepalese cinemas. See also What Wikipedia is not; among other things, Wikipedia is not an electronic programme guide. Those films that are produced in Nepal and that are notable can be mentioned in the prose. Many other films are already discussed in the "History" section of the article.
• The section headings and most of the tables are in all-caps and contain a lot of language errors, to the point where it is impossible to understand what they mean. The colour codes in the section "MOVIE SHOWS" (I don't know what that heading means in the first place) are hard to decipher: for instance, what does "VERY LESS" mean, and what is the source?
• The tables include misleading font colours, where regular text has been coloured blue, making the non-link text similar to links. The Manual of Style states that "Links should clearly be identifiable as a link to our readers". There is no reason to colour non-links blue in this way, and every reason not to do it.
• The entire section is unsourced. The YouTube links to trailers in the tables are not sources, and in fact they shouldn't be there at all (per WP:ELNO). But even if there were sources to support the claims that there are exactly four movies showing in Nepal, it still would not be appropriate to have that info here; see the first two bulletpoints, above. --bonadea contributions talk 14:10, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
