Hello Wikipedians!

Article Evaluation

Spanish Cinema

Content: The information in the article is up to date and relevant with the topic. The content takes an objective stance and there is a clear structure of the article. Each section of the article is clearly labelled with a title pertaining to its information. There are a good portion of references as well, but I didn't see any citations within the article. However, the article goes in depth with the history of Spanish Cinema including the Civil War, silent cinema, and cinema of the democratic era.

Tone: There are no instances where I detected bias in this article. It is a neutral, factual article that is very informative of Cinema in Spain. No viewpoints go unrepresented since there is a section talking about English-language Spanish films. It appears the editor did their research and considered all viewpoints.

Sources: The links of the references work, but a few of them bring me to the same website homepage and no information. The references take statistical information from the sources and support the information in the article. The only problem with this article is that there are no citations directly after sentences or paragraphs. All of the references are at the end of the article and nowhere else. The information comes from credible sources that have the same level of neutrality as the Wikipedia article.

Checking the talk page: There is one person on the talk page of this article. All they did was modify one external link in the article. The article is rated C-class and it is a part of two WikiProjects: WikiProject Film and WikiProject Spain. Wikipedia discusses the topic not that differently than the way we do in class. The Wikipedians are civil and helpful and provide edit summaries. The user also suggested to others to fix any issues if they were experiencing trouble with the article. Since there is not much conversation on this page, it's difficult to say how it's different than what we've learned in class.

Lastly, my question is:

Why didn't the editor cite sources within the article?
