Error[edit]

In the lyrics the name is always given the Italian pronunciation “chiribiribee.”

This is incorrect: the Italian pronunciation is “chiribiribeen”, with the final "n" (Italian is always pronounced as it is written, and written as it is pronounced). Sinatra probably knew that and sung the song accordingly.

In Italian, the final "n" allows to rhyme with all the final words of the following verses, which are turned into their diminutive form.

This is confirmed by any Youtube video of Italian versions of this song:
