Reasons for Notability[edit]

Meraki was mentioned elsewhere in Wikipedia prior to the creation of this article (in the San Francisco Municipal Wireless and the Linksys WRT54G series article.
They are one of the few (only?) companies that are producing the hardware and software that can be used to easily set up adhoc mesh networks.

Recommend for Deletion[edit]

Disagree. Feel free to edit parts of the page that you think are purely self-serving. However, I believe that their hardware and software are very unique. Ah.. Open-Mesh article was deleted. By a single person, apparently as not notable. That's weird - I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to read about open source alternatives to Meraki.

Criticism section[edit]

Merak - Meraki = doing something with soul, creativity, love, passion? Undo the redirect Comment[edit]

We have a problem. There is a confusion. Meraki redirects to "Cisco Meraki", where Meraki is a "thing". I'm here because I got an invitation to to an exhibit "Meraki" - and I thought - hey, I know that - that's strange what's written here - let me look that up on the wikipedia, because, actually I thought it was the name for a people - the "Meraki people" somewhere in a mountainous region in Greece - ok, so I understand I've been fooled by my Greek friends. Now I found out: "meraki, μεράκ - [may-rah-kee], (adjective): This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love -- when you put "something of yourself" into what you're doing, whatever it may be.", "The Greek word Meraki means to do something with passion, from the heart, with absolute devotion, with undivided attention; a labour of love,", "Meraki, a verb, or adverb, a Modern Greek word, derived from the Turkish “Merak” (Labor of love, to do something with pleasure), is applied to tasks, usually, creative or artistic tasks, but can be applied to any task at all.
