Not in Clackamas, OR[edit]

Despite its name, the Clackamas Town Center mall is not actually located in Clackamas, OR. It's in Happy Valley, OR. See the address on their website here: [1]. -Helvetica (talk) 20:10, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can confirm this- the zip code they list (97086) comes back from the USPS as "Happy Valley". Clackamas is acceptable but not the primary. Strange, certainly. tedder (talk) 20:55, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Clackamas Town Center is not located in any city; it is in unincorporated Clackamas County. For property on unincorporated land, the mailing addresses assigned by the Postal Service do not always make sense. Clackamas Town Center may have a Happy Valley mailing address, but it is not in Happy Valley. The current city boundary map available at this page of Happy Valley's website clearly shows that the site of Clackamas Town Center is not within the city limits. I don't have a boundary map of the Clackamas CDP, but I'm sure it includes the mall. SJ Morg (talk) 10:56, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Clackamas CDP doesn't appear in 2010 Census data/2012 TIGER place shapefiles. It did appear before that, however this mall wasn't in the CDP's bounds (checked in 2000/2009 TIGER place shapefiles). It was actually closest to Sunnyside CDP. Regardless, unincorporated community boundaries can be difficult to define. —Mrwojo (talk) 17:12, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted it back to Happy Valley per WP:OR. The mall's website lists the address as Happy Valley, so until someone can find a reliable source which says otherwise we should stick with that. -Helvetica (talk) 20:11, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's only a matter of whether you go with the mailing address or whether you go with the boundaries – reliable sources have been given for both. —Mrwojo (talk) 04:50, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've added two citations supporting the statement that the mall is on unincorporated land, and ones that specifically mention Happy Valley's interest in annexing it (which they've now agreed to drop). Following these additions, I've restored the previous text to the article. SJ Morg (talk) 09:53, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

E-Cigarettes[edit]

I've removed the statement from the intro about the e-cigarettes. It isn't an appropriate statement in the intro, was a bit POV, and wasn't cited. If another editor thinks it is an important statement about the mall, I would recommend adding it under history and citing when the management group changed their rules to allow this, though it may seem trivial sitting next to the information about the 2012 shooting.
