Dubious Arms?[edit]

I recognise my clan badge all right, but is there any authority for these arms?

In most heraldry arms are borne by an individual, not a whole clan; and in Scottish heraldry I believe you refer to a star, not a mullet.

Requested move[edit]

I think the article ought to be moved to Clan Macrae. This is how the name is listed on the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs website [1]. Same with the 'official' clan website [2].--Celtus (talk) 10:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A recent anonymous edit has raised again the issue whether "Macrae" should be "MacRae". I am in favour of the former but, whatever the answer, I think the importance of consistency with the article title and with other clan articles is such that "Macrae" should not be changed to "MacRae" in the absence of broad consensus.45ossington (talk) 21:42, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
