Fair use rationale for Image:Clarks Shoes Logo.gif

Image:Clarks Shoes Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vietnam and China production

I just recognized that my latest Clarks are "Made in Vietnam" (because the Quality is worse than it used to be). Since when are Clarks shoes made in Asia? Since I, and all my work mates were made redundant after 36 years service ( Ilminster Somerset 2005) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.241.76 (talk) 14:07, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Clarks stopped producing their shoes in England in 2005. Sad, but true. 89.243.116.195 (talk) 00:19, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

Citation for accuracy

This article references several dates without citation. The book "C & J Clark 1825-1975" by Brendan Lehane (whilst published by Clarks) is a careful piece of work taken from extensive company archives. With regard to the Hygenic Range the book states: "There had been three separate widths in some ranges as early as 1848. William [Clark] added a fourth in 1875, and in 1883 launched the Hygienic range, whose...." LeighB16 (talk) 14:18, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Nice one. If you have the book, why don't you add some citations. Do you know how to do that? Best option is to use the {{Cite book}} template. Shout if you need help. --Simple Bob (talk) 14:33, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Cleanup banner

This article has a cleanup banner. I can see there are lots of statements requiring citations but what specifically is needed for the cleanup banner or can I remove it?— Rod talk 12:24, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Clarks in Jamaica

Clarks were popular in Jamaica way before Vybez. Little John had a track in 1985 called "Clarks Booty" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.137.120.202 (talk) 12:08, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Number of stores & Countries

According to this article, in 2012 Clarks has 600 stores in UK and 280 in USA. It has also other stores in other countries, but not 160 as stated in Wikipedia article, but 50. Probably it might be useful to find some additional source to counter-check data. --Dejudicibus (talk) 16:38, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
