The result of the move request was: moved to Claude Giroux. Favonian (talk) 12:33, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Claude Giroux (ice hockey)Claude Giroux – As per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, the ice hockey player is the topic that is most likely to be searched for by Wikipedia users. He's one of the top players in the National Hockey League and is arguably a more popular subject than the wrestler from the '90s. The main Claude Giroux page is currently a disambiguation page, but a link at the top of the ice hockey player's page can easily redirect anyone searching for the wrestler to the Claude Giroux (wrestler) page. Charper8 (talk) 23:19, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support; IMO, with only two options, we don't need overwhelming evidence of primacy to declare a primary topic and eliminate the disambiguation page. Powers T 23:51, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Why not just leave well alone? Typing "Claude Giroux" in as a search gives both the hockey player and the wrestler as options; if the searcher misses that then the dab page is a fall-back position. And both articles have hat-notes linking to the other. Instead we end up with the hockey fraternity and the wrestling fraternity going ten rounds (or three periods) over who is the most famous. And on the subject of Primary Topic, do either of them have any long-standing significance? Also, the wrestler page pre-dates the hockey player page by about six months, so who's to say who is the most famous? Moonraker12 (talk) 12:59, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment -- a Dab-page with just two items is redundant. Hatnotes provide a good means of reaching the right article at the second click, which is no worse than having a dabpage. I would guess that the ice hockey player is primary and the wrestler secondary, but would not oppose the converse if it were argued strongly. Peterkingiron (talk) 20:01, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: the hockey player gets 25,000 page views per month, the wrestler 1,900. The hockey player is clearly the primary topic. --Zanhe (talk) 22:12, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Clearly the primary topic based on hits and news articles on google. -DJSasso (talk) 15:34, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Giroux Page[edit]

I am personal assistant to Claude Giroux and the content listed on his personal page 28 is false please keep removed. Thank you. WillyFont (talk) 00:33, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is not false, there are many reliable sources saying it happened (see National Post:[1]). Negative content isn't removed just because it is negative. See WP:CENSOR. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 00:40, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Navan grads[edit]

The team is the Navan grads not the Cumberland grads. The link is correct though. 2607:FEA8:BE61:9F00:79D1:21DF:4D73:64E5 (talk) 17:10, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
