Changed newly added statue photo to namesake photo[edit]

I noticed a recent change to the page. The sole change was that a photo of the statue of Patrick Cleburne was added and captioned. As there are no other landmarks, statues, or memorials on the page (other than downtown Cleburne in the history section), it felt out of place and appears more as an attempt to use Wikipedia as more than just an information source.

Looking into the account that made the change, it appears to have been created very recently, describing itself as being from the Irish Midlands, and has only a recent history of posts on June 12, 16, and 17, with one or two line and/or photo edits across a number of articles. This came across as a possible influence operation, and aside from that did not flow well with the rest of the page.

It also may be due to Patrick Cleburne's Irish heritage and not an influence campaign.

Even so, a photo of the man fits with the flow of the page and conforms more to informational than a photo of a statue that may detract from the page's purpose as informative.

Instead of removing it altogether, I changed the photo of the statue to a photo and link to Patrick Cleburne, as I believe it would be more neutral appropriate to the rest of the page and still maintain the town's link with it's namesake for visitors to find easily. This change allows visitors to see the photo as well as a link in the caption to go to his page. This does not hide the fact that the he was a Confederate General, but also does not overtly use Wikipedia (a neutral information source) as a possible platform for inducing strife, division, and/or conflict. -- CyberNigma (talk) 17:51, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
