Offside movie[edit]

This article listed a movie titled Offside, but I can't find any evidence for it other than a bunch of "watch-free-movies-online" sites all repeating the same one-paragraph summary about journalist Malory Stone. One gives the IMDb-like "(2008/I)" designation, while another has a one-line review from 2007! IMDb doesn't list it, nor anything similar that I can find, so I'm removing it from this page.

PS. The Iranian film Offside is great, and you should watch it; but it doesn't feature Clemency Burton-Hill (nor Marc Warren).

Picture[edit]

Couldn't somebody find a good picture of Clemency? It would show searchers who don't know her that she is as beautiful as she is multi-talented. David. 25/9/11. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.162.161.20 (talk) 07:17, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stage Name[edit]

Curious name: Burton from her father, but Hill from her mother's first husband.Sebmelmoth (talk) 10:30, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The lead paragraph currently says her surname at birth was Burton-Hill. How is this possible if the Hill is from her mum's first husband? --173.129.254.191 (talk) 02:24, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Per the 2014 Evening Standard source, the relationship between her mother and Hill pre-dates her birth. --Wire723 (talk) 16:33, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aurora Orchestra[edit]

Where does the bit about CB-H having 'co-founded' the Aurora Orchestra come from? According to the orchestra's website it was founded in 2005 by Nicholas Collon, currently Principal Conductor, and Robin Ticciati http://www.auroraorchestra.com/about-us/biography/ . So essentially she was one of the original players rather than a 'co-founder'? Ioan_Dyfrig (talk) 21:34, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Acting contradiction[edit]

The body copy says she was acting through 2007, but the filmography lists productions through 2010. The lede claims that "early in her career" she was an actress, but 2010 is only eight years ago and she is 37. Need source to prove either 2007 or 2010 to be correct, and the lede should be reworded to say something like "she was also an actress until recently, when she gave it up to concentrate on other interests," or something more correct and sourcable. Now at WQXR in New York City[edit]

PBS NewsHour featured her in a segment on March 8. According to the YouTube video description, she's the creative director at WQXR. (Here's a HookTube link for those of you outside the US who aren't permitted to watch the YouTube video.) --173.129.254.191 (talk) 02:34, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Woman's Hour ref[edit]

The final ref: 'Clemency Burton-Hill, V&A African fashion exhibition, Liverpool Mayor Wendy Simon, Presidential Inauguration.' (Woman's Hour) www.bbc.co.uk[dead link/ Feb 2021] accessed 8 March 2021 is currently tagged as a dead link, but it is not dead from UK (March 2021- possibly it's not OK elsewhere? - leaving 'dead link' tag for now, with commented-out comment for those who may follow) Yadsalohcin (talk) 23:05, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Full name and date of birth[edit]

FreeBMD has an entry for a birth of Clemency Margaret G Burton-Hill, registered in June 1981, in Hammersmith, mother Hawser, here. In fact the search brings back four entries here, suggesting some confusion over forenames/ surname. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:55, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Her full name and date of birth (1 July 1981) is given e.g. here. But Goodreads is not considered a WP:RS and that date may well have just copied the date from here anyway. Of FreeBMD is correct, it cannot have been July as the birth was registered in the June quarter. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:34, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
