proposed article changes[edit]

external link 4 in the article: http://info.adimec.com/blogposts/bid/93362/The-Future-of-Machine-Vision-Continued-the-Future-Standards-Forum has no title, so the title should be updated.

external link 6 in the article is pure advertisement and wrong content behind the link. There are at least 4 CXP core vendors today as: http://www.s2i.org, http://www.kayainstruments.com, http://dcreation.jp and http://www.mrcy.com where the only with a official CXP certification is the one from s2i.org, which can be seen here: http://jiia.org/en/cxp/ -> http://jiia.org/en/cxp/camera005/ and which runs up to 4 lane CXP6 as a DEVICE as HOST core.

Can this be updated soon? --Wfeith (talk) 23:02, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as having no substantive content, because... (I am using CoaXPress standard ,this article is in editting) --Stawman (talk) 02:01, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see zero references / sources outside of the two entities that are promoting this. In Wikipedia terms, lack of substantive coverage in secondary sources is an indication that it does not meet wp:notability, a requirement for existence of a separate article. I found one and put it in. North8000 (talk) 15:24, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... I actually thought of AFD'ing this myself a few weeks ago but now think that it is a standard that needs to be covered somewhere. Possibly the result (from a discussion here or regular AFD) could be to move it to a section in another article, but speedying it would somewhat kill that possibility. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 15:19, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that it should be a separate article. North8000 (talk) 21:47, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

It seems that this page keeps being deleted because it was deleted in the past. The CoaXPress page has references from 6 different sources and addition have been made by 5 different people, with different backgrounds.

This standard is being used in the machine vision and industrial camera market. People who are not familiar with this market may never have heard about CoaXPress, but within this market it has become a relevant standard being used by many companies. I quickly googled "CoaXPress" and I already found more than 20 companies that have products based on this standard.

I am one of engineers who was (and still is) involved in the development of the CoaXPress standard. I will update this page, but I will do my best to be neutral about this topic.

If you don't mind and are up for the work to improve it, I'll go into a sort of "tough love" mode on this to try to get the article improved.......I know the general field, but the not the specific standard. I think that this topic needs to be covered, and probably as a separate article. North8000 (talk) 21:32, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed you are much more experienced in writing wikipedia articles than me, so I appreciate your help. --Bdevuyst (talk) 23:20, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
