Should the article on US Naval Airship Station and Hangar at Weeksville NC be merged with this article on Elizabeth City CGAS?[edit]

No, I don't think it should.

I flew from Weeksville (WVL) for two years (1985-1986) as an airship pilot of Airship Industries. Despite close links between the two, the former US Navy blimp base at WVL is separate and very distinct from the airport and Coast Guard base at Elizabeth City (ECG), and has always been so. WVL was owned and operated by the Bureau of Aeronatics of the US Navy: ECG is a joint municipal airport and facility of the US Coast Guard. WVL was (is) used exclusively by lighter-than-air aviation while ECG is all about heavier-than-air craft, both fixed- and rotary-wing. The only real connection between the two is that they happen to be geographically quite close. To combine these two articles would be like combining the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art with Ripley's Believe It or Not, after all they're both in Manhattan!
