A trifling query on spelling: Should not "immunomodultory" be "immunomodulatory" ? I visited this page because J.B.S Haldane describes the Cobra as "a beautiful animal". DaveyHume (talk) 16:35, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple problems[edit]

It appears this article was adapted from one or more sources that aren't any of the cited references. Google doesn't find any other web pages that have significant sequences of text from the article, so the mystery source could be offline, behind a paywall, or written in a different language. The article has possible remnants of references to material that was presumably removed in the re-writing process, such as these lines:

  • nAChRs can obtain their open conformation by a twist-like motion as seen in figure X
  • Indications for the bite of a cobra, in this case the Naja atra (Chinese cobra)
  • The lethal dose (LD50) of α-cobratoxin is 0,1 mg/kg by intravenous injection into mice15.

Second, the article contains much more technical detail than is appropriate for Wikipedia.

Finally, the entire section titled "Lung Cancer" should probably be removed because it describes a hypothesis that has been disproven. 76.20.110.219 (talk) 18:05, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
