@Ravichandar84: Hi Ravichandar84 Title of This article wrong. According to Armenian, Farsi and English sources like this the Correct title is English: Ḵᵛāja Petros Veliǰaneancʽ; Armenian: Խոջա Պետրոս Ոսկան-Վելիջանեանց and Persian: خواجه پطرس ولیجانیان

Coja (Khoja is correct, this is his title)

Petrus (some how is correct, this is his First name)

Uscan (Voskan is correct, this is his father name)

> Veliǰaneancʽ is his last name

These researchers come from Armenian, Persian English resources [1] and this person died at 1649

What do you think?

I've used S. Muthiah's Madras Rediscovered which is an authoritative source on this subject [2]-RaviMy Tea Kadai 05:22, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well-written article. Here are some suggestions on improving the content:
  1. It is possible to use more links, example Julfa, Manila etc.
  2. All refs should be immediately after a punctuation mark.
  3. Who appointed him as Company Councillor?
  4. From whom did he get permission for the British to mint coins?
  5. When he came to Madras, did he come alone?
  6. When Madras was reverted to British Rule 1749, why did they allow only two Catholics to stay there? What happened to other Armenians? Didn't Uscan have any supporters among the Armenians (in his British loyalty)?
  7. Somewhere before the Dupleix's offer to him is mentioned, the importance of Capuchin chapel in Armenian Society of Madras may be explained.
  8. Vellepey, where the Chapel of Our Lady of Miracles is located, is it a neighbourhood of Madras or is it in the outskirts?
  9. A photograph of his tombstone would be a nice addition.
  10. Last sentence may need a ref
  11. In the picture, text may be reduced/moved to main text. Also, in 'Maraimalai Adigal (Marmalong) bridge', Maraimalai Adigal is linked, which can be confusing. I thought its a page on the bridge.
Hope you find these comments/suggestions useful.--GDibyendu (talk) 16:18, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
