Gross Piton Campsite

The proposed campsite development at Gross Piton is located on 3 acres of land, situated above the Hilton Hotel Beach Resort and overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Bordering Petite Piton and Lord Glenconner’s hideaway restaurant and bar, the Gross Piton campsite is probably the most romantic beauty spot on the island of St Lucia.

The property, including the main house, was in fact rented to Lord Glenconner from 1987-2000 as a refuge from his adventures on the island of Mustique.

The development will include campsites, sun shelters and the main house as well as a communal amenity block named after him and will offer regular daily activities such as sight seeing tours, Tai Chi classes and therapy treatments to both visitors and campsite holders.

We are offering you the opportunity, through a Time Share agreement, to reserve your own campsite location for a specified period of time each year on the property. If you choose not to use your campsite during your allotted time, we will rent it to visitors on your behalf and pay you any rental income.

Campsite Availability and Cost - £50.00 per day - Up to 4 weeks per year, a one off payment of £1000.00 - Up to 12 months per year, a one off payment of £5,000.00 (for five years) - Up to 12 months per year, a one off payment £15,000.00 (for 12 years)

honorific for Cody Tennant[edit]

...Glenconnor was succeeded by his grandson, the Hon. Cody Charles Edward Tennant... Would this honorific be correct? By what right would Cody Tennant have the Honorable before his name before he became a baron? The honorific The Honorable is given to the children, not to the grandchildren, of barons. Is the 4th Baron's mother herself a baronness or a viscountess in her own right? You are quite right, Cody Tennant did not have the style Honorable in front of his name before he became a baron. His mother was a commoner without any peerage title. I have removed the style. Diodecimus (talk) 07:42, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'Issue' should include Joshua Bowles ?[edit]

In the summary panel his 'issue' are listed but do not include Joshua Bowles even though the main article mentions Joshua Bowles as a child of his, albeit outside of his marriage.

I'm not sure whether 'issue' means something more than just 'children of' but if that's all that it means shouldn't JB be added to the list of 'issue' ?

Wedding present[edit]

Honeymoon surprise[edit]

On 8 November 2019 Lady Anne (now aged 87) appeared, promoting her memoir, on BBC's The Graham Norton Show. She recalled that, on their honeymoon at the Lotte Hotel in Paris, Colin Glenconner surprised her by taking her for "a great treat" to a brothel in the city outskirts, to sit together, on two "wing-backed velvet seats" in front of a bed, and watch "two really disgusting people making love, sort of squelching about.... who kept saying 'would you like to join in?'"
