This article is clearly wrong, or at least misleading.[edit]

"Colombia Tierra Querida" was first "popularized" in 1958, not in 1970. This article creates the impression that the song was first released in 1970. Please see Bermudez, E. (2008). Lied und populäre Kultur / Song and Popular Culture , 2008, 53. Jahrg., Populäres Lied in Lateinamerika / Popular Song in Latin America (2008), pp. 167-261:

"Yet the paroxysm of such a style comes undoubtedly when the very country and nationality become the subject-matter of the song. Perhaps the two most widely-recognized as emblematic are Soy Cobmbiano (c.1960) a BAMBUCO by Rafael Godoy (1907-1973) and the CUMBIA Cobmbia tierra querida (1958) by Lucho Berm?dez. In the latter piece, composed in Medellin in the heyday of his recording career, Berm?dez takes advantage of the structural responsorial style of afro-Colombian song to built an animated nationalistic dialogue between soloist and chorus, repeating over and over again: ?I will live forever singing/Colombia my beloved land!"

I mean really, all you have to do is listen to the first recording with Matilde Diaz and you can clearly hear that those are not 1970 production values. 2600:1700:FA20:AE50:E5D5:AF23:2298:9368 (talk) 06:05, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
