Date of birth

I just came across this article while trying to source the fact that, at least in Britain, all racehorses are registered as born on 1 January. Anyway, I can't see the relevance of the sentence starting "Virtually all..." since Colorado King's birthday is not given, anyway. It would be useful, I think, to move this sentence to a more relevant article (or create one, if none exists) and remove it from here. Comments? SimonTrew (talk) 10:57, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

it's only relevant when a young horse is moved between hemispheres, as it complicates the weight-for-age scale. Colorado King was a mature horse when he was moved so it doesn't really matter.Tigerboy1966 (talk) 11:50, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
