Flight 93 RfC[edit]

The article states that United Flight 93 veered off-course precisely over Columbia Township. However, looking at the map provided, it doesn't look like it. It appears as on the border of Columbia and Olmsted Townships, and not just Columbia. The map also appears to be a rough estimate, so there's no real telling that the plane actually veered off-course over Columbia Township, and there's no other sources (that I'm aware of at least) that show/state otherwise. In fact, I'm wondering if it's even notable enough for a place in the article (it probably is, for simply being 9/11-related, but still). Should the sentence in question be removed or should it be kept? Pyrotlethe "y" is silent, BTW. 04:05, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It doesnt appear to be particular notable to the township, I would suggest just removing it. MilborneOne (talk) 14:44, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
At least delete "precisely". (Editor "randomly selected to receive an invitation to participate in the request for comment") --BoogaLouie (talk) 17:34, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the word "precisely"; however, there's still the question on whether the line should be kept or not, as per what I said above. Pyrotlethe "y" is silent, BTW. 23:28, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Simple case of WP:BURDEN, if the map is the only reliable source, than a request for additional reliable sources doesn't appear to be uncalled for. Also, should it be given weight in the lead? Perhaps if it is verifiable by multiple reliable sources it can be in the history section, if at all.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 03:27, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Remove the line, I reckon, unless a source can be found that directly supports the claim. And I couldn't find such a source. Drawing a conclusion from the map cited as the source is original research and highly liable to be inaccurate. --Mkativerata (talk) 10:06, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Remove entirely It's not likely to be true, there's no evidence it's been commented on enough to warrant any weight in the article at all. Seems to be speculative SPACKlick (talk) 14:40, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Remove it There is nothing to support the statement, take it out. JamesBay (talk) 17:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Remove unless a reliable source is found supporting this. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 05:05, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
