Columbus University College of Medicine and Health Sciences is a WHO, IMED, and ECFMG recognized and accredited medical school. They have opened an English tract for their current medical curriculum. The first semester begins May 1st, 2009. They offer 11 semesters (3 years and 8 months) of medical school. Each semester is composed of 16 weeks: five semesters of Basic Sciences, and six semesters of Clinical Sciences and rotations in the United States, or Panama. The also offer a pre-medical education which is 4 semesters. Students that have graduated high school and lack the pre-requisites of medical school may be eligible to apply for the Pre-medical program. Upon completion of the pre-medical course work, they may attend the Basic Sciences program and graduate in 15 semesters (start to finish). Please refer to the official website: www.columbus.edu.
