Voip service?[edit]

The article states that Comcast Digital Voice is substantially different than Voip, and it does not transfer data over the public internet. The distinction is artificial. It certainly travels through the same lines that broadband does. If Comcast prioritizes voice over the rest of the general internet, that doesn't magically make it a distinct entity.(if comcast decided to prioritize skype or vontage, they would obviously still be a voip services) If there is a legitimate distinction to be made, we need a source to explain it.Forbes72 (talk) 23:11, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm. This stuff is extremely technical. Comcast runs its own Private network for voice, which uses a different region of the ip protocol which is not addressable worldwide. So the statement is technically correct.(it's not the "public internet", but its still the internet) I'll clarify the prose.Forbes72 (talk) 00:04, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
