Fair use rationale for Image:CILLogo.png[edit]

Image:CILLogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Date of re-establishment of light at Hook Head[edit]

The text says that the light at Hook Head was re-established by authority of King Charles II in 1657. This seems wildly unlikely. At that date Charles II was in exile, I think in the southern (Spanish) Netherlands, with no more effective authority in Ireland than in Patagonia. citation does not support this[edit]

The page linked to only traces the history of Irish lighthouses back as far as 1786 and makes no mention of a 5th century signal fire. Baily vs Howth Head?[edit]

The table includes entries for both Baily and Howth Head; I believe the latter is an error. The only other lighthouse on the Howth peninsula is at the harbour, which is managed by Dublin Port, and is not an Irish Lights facility. Go for it, please, this should have been caught before. Thanks! The Baily replaced the old light at the Candlesticks a long time ago and indeed no other light operates on Howth Head. I guess a better coverage of the Dublin Port lights might help avoid this sort of thing, but that's another topic.SeoR (talk) 08:49, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've made the change for Howth, which now has it's own article, and tidied up some of the others which are no longer CIL. As we do have a complete list at List of lighthouses in Ireland, I am not sure this one needs to be kept (and maintained) as well...Jokulhlaup (talk) 14:50, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
