Title is in American English, text is in British English. I think the title should really be changed to "defence" as this is more commonly used in Spanish publications that translate the title into English.

Description of geographical scope of activities[edit]

The following sentence is used in the lede purely for descriptive purposes: "[...] are a network of assemblies that function on a local, regional and national level". Since the article concerns spanish politics and in order to inform the non catalan reader correctly, I have removed "national level" from the description. This to avoid the reader might think that these particular groups operate on a national level (i.e the whole of Spain). Whether Catalonia is a nation or not is out of the scope of this particular article and sentence Arcillaroja (talk) 13:56, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Arcillaroja: thanks for adding a comment here. I improved the text to make it clear 'national' applies to Catalonia in this context. This way we also get a link to the article Catalonia in the lead of the article, which adds context to the readers. What I don't like about your proposal ('local and regional') is that even though the regional assemblies are independent of each other, they are still organized in a national level. --Aljullu (talk) 20:36, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tweets[edit]

I'm not sure that tweet refs belong in Wikipedia. However, I tried to access Comittees for the Defense of the Republic and suspect there is a misspelling here or evn a space needed before Oficial.--Brenont (talk) 03:28, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
