Hang on[edit]

This is a notable organisation that was subject to recent COI edits. I have reverted those edits. DoubleBlue (Talk) 03:55, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I guess I messed up, I wrote what I thought was a decent entry in place of the old mess, but it got deleted. I don't know what a COI is, but I guess that was me? I wrote it under a login name that was rejected, not sure if that makes a difference. Anyway, I thought my version under the Communitylivingcanada login was a lot better than the one that is there now, and it's also quite accurate. Sorry, I am new to this, just trying to help with this page, as this is a major notable organization that should definitely be in wikipedia. I appreciate your desire to help us improve the encyclopedia and I agree that this article could use a lot of expansion. WP:COI is our Conflict of Interest guideline and of course your former username suggested a conflict of interest and it was written in such a way that it was perceived as more of an advertisement than a neutral encyclopedic article. My complete revert was meant to be a quick way to re-establish a version that formerly had consensus and could avoid a speedy deletion and thought we could re-insert your additions in a more neutral and balanced tone when there was more time. Thanks for being calm and understanding and not getting frustrated at this process. It is sometimes difficult not to seem bitten as a newcomer to the 'pedia but please be sure that we welcome your input and our brash actions just seek to uphold the Five pillars. Cheers! Thanks, I realize I have little idea what I am doing as far as being a wikipedian, but it's ridiculous that Community Living Ontario is being challenged as a legit entry, this is a HUGE organization and hugely important to boot. I tried a few more additions, I think it's important to note the size and scope. The local associations are significant in their own right so to be challenging the provincial association is kinda goofy. Maybe their execs are all on the aging side so they aren't with it as far as wikipedia goes, but that doesn't mean the org isn't significant :-) Inclusionforeveryone (talk) 06:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
