Compaq LTE Lite 4/33C

... that Compaq placed the built-in trackball of the LTE Lite (pictured) on its display housing? Source: "Compaq's engineers decided to embed the trackball in the side of the LTE Lite 25c's lid, next to the color screen. The user holds the screen as one might hold the cover of a book, controlling the roller on the front with a thumb while the other fingers operate the trackball buttons on the back."
- ALT1: ... that Compaq was the only manufacturer besides Apple to put an monochrome active-matrix LCD in their laptop with certain models of the LTE Lite?

Hi DigitalIceAge, review follows: article converted from redirect 30 January; article is well written and exceeds minimum length; I didn't find any overly close paraphrasing from sources I checked; image is good and freely licensed (I changed the license to CC by SA 4.0 to being it in line with the source); a QPQ has been carried out; ALT0 is fine and checks out to the source; for ALT1 the only sources provided are contemporary (1992/93), I realise it is unlikely but a manufacturer could have used the screens after that. Do you have a modern source? If not, we can just run with ALT0. My only other comment is that you give a January 27, 1992 release date in the infobox but it is not cited or mentioned in the main text - Dumelow (talk) 14:11, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Dumelow: Monochrome laptops disappeared from the market around the end of 1995 so no other manufacturer would've had a reason to consider it (the InfoWorld ref [5] indicates that the equipment used to manufacture them was damaged in the '95 Kobe earthquake either way) but I agree it's a weaksauce hook compared to ALT0.
