what is the differance between cone drivers and compression drivers?

-- a cone driver simply means that the shape of the diaphragm, the moving part, is shaped like a cone. A compression driver fires the sound through small channels (smaller than the diaphragm) in order to make it louder. It is possible to have a cone compression driver, though most compression drivers have dome shaped diaphragms. Jackocleebrown (talk) 19:43, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Compression drivers can't hit over 100%, they can hit over 100dbm, but that is not efficiency.Blake.Thomas.80486 (talk) 11:05, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

compression drivers have the wrong principle??

Does sound not be compressed to get a higher ammount of dwecibels? i cant see that in compression drivers. it might be that the phaseplug increases the db ratings but i think not that much cause of a principle that increases the speed of air instead of compressing it Saludacymbals (talk) 17:48, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
