Applications of the Cone of Uncertainty[edit]

The cone of uncertainty is used in software development as mentioned in the first chapter. I would put this information in the section of the application of the cone to outline more areas where it is used. --Oliver Emmler, Heidelberg (talk) 08:37, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NASA link dead[edit]

NHC Track Forecast Cone[edit]

If anyone can animate a series of these for the hurricane of your choice, it would illustrate the article quite nicely. The bulbous seven-day head of the cone waggles more over time than most people realize! kencf0618 (talk) 02:28, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

== Please read chapter 2 in "The Leprechauns of Software Engineering" by Laurent Bossavit to cast a new light into this topic. Basically, he attempts to debunk a myth, based on the fact that Boehm's observations on the Cone of uncertainty are not empirical, but "Subjective". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.8.61.10 (talk) 18:35, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
