I don’t quite see how this fits into an article on the controversies surrounding Berlusconi. (Well, not until a dental hygienist became involved….) Should it be returned to the main article? Ian Spackman (talk) 22:23, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're entirely right, Berlusconi didn't orchestrate the affair to gain public favour, which I'm sure he did, but that's irrelevant, therefore this is not a controversy in the context of the article. —James (TalkContribs) • 6:27pm 08:27, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

One-sided[edit]

This article is titled "controversies" but shows only one side of each story (namely, the one accusing Berlusconi). Where are the controversies? --95.89.26.236 (talk) 02:03, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, a contorversial fact is usually maintained/justified/supported by some and denied/criticized/disputed by others. Here, however, I can only see one point of view, and no signs of controversy. To describe a controversy, one should try to convey two contrasting positions...--95.89.26.236 (talk) 14:32, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, one last thought: I think a more suitable title for this article would be "Criticism of Silvio Berlusconi" or "Scandals surrounding Silvio Berlusconi". Otherwise, the article should be changed and rewritten to portray an actual controversy, and not just to list criticism, gossip-worthy incidents and scandals. In fact, why is this a separate page at all? I think it should return to the main article and appear, in a shortened form, under "Criticism".--95.89.26.236 (talk) 14:38, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
