Added to WikiProject Rugby union[edit]

Vuna is signed to the Melbourne Rebels, hence I've added to WikiProject Rugby union. wcrosbie, Melbourne, Australia 00:35, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Old league links are dead[edit]

I've removed the following (dead links):

Vanu's interest in Wallabies[edit]

Vuna hopes to play for the Australian Wallabies at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.[1] Arguably this is notable, because:
A) Vanu is a former NZ Warrior (league); and
B) Now he's playing (union) for a Super Rugby team in Australia.
Don't you think it curious that players can have ambitions to swap both nations and codes? Isn't it notable that it's event possible? wcrosbie, Melbourne, Australia 07:30, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

if you were to ask any professional rugby player would they like to play for their national team...what is the answer? LibStar (talk) 12:30, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think the fact that he is switching counties is the notable fact, not that he wants to play for a national team. Mattlore (talk) 19:24, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Early years[edit]

Please can you provide sources for any of the following:

  • Vuna grew up in Otahuhu with his family?
  • He has three sisters, and four brothers?
  • One brother played for Junior Roosters under 21s?
  • Another brother other [is] playing for the Waratahs?

Change to Rugby union career section[edit]

I have removed the following bit: "This was after the Newcastle Knights failed to offer him a new deal." Actually, one of the references has the then Knights coach saying that Vuna turned down contract extensions.

Citation for a dangerous tackle[edit]

Sixty minutes into Saturday's test Vuna received a yellow car for a dangerous tackle. The Case was reviewed Monday 18 June, and no further penalty was imposed.
