IBSA

The section on the IBSA currently says, "The International Bible Students Association is also a corporation used by Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn, New York, USA."
I've never heard of a USA corporation with that or similar name. Frankly, I think what is currently stated in this section is wrong.

In Faith on the March, ©1957 by A.H. Macmillan, a footnote on page 230 reads, "Incidentally, the mentioned generic use of the term "International Bible Students Association" from 1910 to 1931 should not be confused with use of the very same name chosen for the corporation created and registered at London, England, in 1914, and later also chosen for the Canadian corporation, for supervising the Watch Tower Society's activities in the United Kingdom and in Canada, respectively."

Reorder

I have reordered the sections. The Pennsylvania corporation is the worldwide headquarters. The New York corporation is used only within the United States, and therefore should not be as prominent as the Pennsylvania corporation. Similarly, the UK IBSA organization is specific to a particular country.--Jeffro77 (talk) 13:54, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I agree with the reorder, but for different reasons.
Watch Tower (Penn.) is by far the most prominent of their corporations; the article now emphasizes that point by relegating Watchtower (NY) and IBSA (UK) down into subsections.
Incidentally, Watchtower (NY) and IBSA (UK) are not strictly domestic; either or both are "publisher" for almost all printings of books. That's certainly a highly notable role! Additionally, their century-long histories have been (and still are) uniquely international especially when compared with the dozens of lesser JW corporations (at least 70 if my recollection of a recent article is correct). --AuthorityTam (talk) 16:30, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes. That's why they get mentioned in the article and the other 70 or so others don't all get their own paragraph. I've changed acronym to initialism for IBSA - acronyms are pronounced as spelled (e.g. scuba, radar, UNICEF), but I'm not aware that IBSA is usually used in this way.--Jeffro77 (talk) 21:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
