Title[edit]

I guess that the article should be moved back to the English 'County of Gorizia'. It was moved to the current title in 2009 with the rationale: "The county's name was Görz - Gorizia is the name of a city within".[1] It is true that a town is named Gorizia, but the county's name in English is "County of Gorizia",[2] not Gorizia. --Eleassar ^{my talk} 08:52, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; County of Gorizia is a better title (more frequent, more English) than County of Görz. Doremo (talk) 07:57, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article scope and accuracy[edit]

I find this article dubious as per the historian Peter Štih, the County of Gorizia formed gradually from the 13th century and only achieved its final form in the 16th century. The article does not reflect that.

The Counts of Gorizia were elevated to the rank of state princes in 1365.
In the 14th century they became independent from Friuli.
In the 16th century, the land County of Gorizia took on its full form.

Much is said about the estates of the Counts of Gorizia and their lineage, but not about the county itself.

I've therefore tagged the article with {{accuracy}} and {{coatrack}}.

There are some other interesting citations:
