Requested move 9 October 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved back. Going to treat this as a requested reversion of an undiscussed move, particularly given that the undiscussed move was done today (in direct conflict with policy). A move like the undiscussed one should be discussed, rather than the other way around. (closed by non-admin page mover) estar8806 (talk) 19:05, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Coup (film)Coup! – Per WP:PRIMARYFILM, which lists Airplane! as an example, no disambiguator is required. voorts (talk/contributions) 16:57, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! thanks for keeping the wiki an accurate place :) given the number of pages with the word Coup in them, the name Coup (film) is more useful to the average user, making them able to find the movie and show up on google. Dapah1 (talk) 17:01, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Article was created as Coup! - the current title is the result of an undiscussed move by User:Dapah1. All the sources cited in the article use the exclamation point. 162 etc. (talk) 18:44, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. As page creator, the article needs the exclamation point as it was used in the title per reliable sources. The Film Creator (talk) 18:51, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
