Associate Cricket[edit]

@Bs1jac: @Lugnuts: SHould this be added to the Associate Page or International Page or neither? Ankurc.17 (talk) 14:19, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe added to the Associate page, but only some of the matches, per this discussion. I guess it's just wait a few more days and see what happens on CI. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:23, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yep agreed with Lugnuts. On the assumption that only the matches between associate members will have T20I status (as the others are under 23 sides), I would think definitely not the main international page... possibly add the whole thing to associates, but possibly just the matches with T20I status. Let's wait and see and add during the event Bs1jac (talk) 14:33, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm taking an educated guess that the matches will be classed as either T20 or Other T20, and not T20I matches, based on the matches at the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup being List A, and not ODI. Possibly matches between Bhutan and Maldives will be T20I and would fit in with the Associate page. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:34, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Noted on all these observations. I have just updated the page here. Anything on the novality thing i had pinged you guys earlier today? Ankurc.17 (talk) 14:36, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The comments at Talk:List of United Arab Emirates Twenty20 International cricket records? Sorry, I didn't get the ping. Will take a look later. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:39, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that one. Not sure what to do in such cases. Ankurc.17 (talk) 14:46, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Lugnuts and Ankurc.17: I have made several edits to improve the page, including the women's fixtures taken from the official games site. However, I noticed in the Bangladesh squad reference that it says there will be 7 women's teams (including India, Pakistan and Bhutan) split into two groups (rather than 4 teams in a single group), and that article is dated 29 November. So there is some confusion: Are India and Pakistan taking part after all, and are Bhutan playing in the women's event or not? Are the full member's playing in the women's event also fielding U23 sides like the men's? Will the men's/women's matches between associate sides have T20I status? We will just need to wait and see what happens in CI (the women's series doesn't appear to be on there at all at the moment). Bs1jac (talk) 17:16, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Great work (as always). There's no India or Pakistan per the South Asian Games' fixtures here (click on the fixtures tab). That's all I have so far! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:21, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yep that's what I was using... just confusing that the Bangladesh reference from just a day ago says otherwise! Bs1jac (talk) 17:24, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah as per news sourced from Google its a 4 team tournament. Ankurc.17 (talk) 05:48, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

@Lugnuts and Ankurc.17: Evening! Looks like someone has moved the men's event to a separate article and left behind a little bit of a mess here. I suppose we did split them for the Pacific Games as well. I think we need to move the women's event to a separate page too in that case, and keep this one as the 'home page' for cricket at the games similar to Cricket at the 2019 Pacific Games. I'll have a go at sorting these now. Bs1jac (talk) 18:55, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Evening! Thanks for spotting this and fixing it too. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 19:02, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have added the link to Women's scorecard and have also added the template for the season to both the pages. Ankurc.17 (talk) 03:31, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
