three articles[edit]

There was nothing in the article Law enforcement in Moldova other than it mentioning how many police they had in 1995, and a section copied from this article. So I redirected it here. Dream Focus 15:59, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My redirect was undone. Please discuss reasons why here. Is there any reason to keep that other article? Dream Focus 19:16, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Every country has a law enforcement page. Just because it isn't particularly good (at this time) doesn't mean it should be blanked. Magnusbrook (talk) 19:20, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't redirecting it to this page about crime in that country, make more sense until someone can think of something to put on it? Dream Focus 19:41, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Crime and law enforcement are on the opposite sides of the coin. Crime is about breaches of the criminal law, its prevalence and a society's reaction to the behaviour, while law enforcement is about the Police and justice system and its actions preventing, detecting, and investigating crime, holding offenders to account, supporting victims as well as punishing and rehabilitating offenders. Redirecting either article is shortsighted because it reduces the potential to explore the full extent of the topics in question. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:56, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions[edit]

Hi! I'm a student at Rice University, and for one of my classes we've been assigned to work on an existing Wikipedia article. I am considering choosing this one to be my focus, and I have a few suggestions for improvement. I believe that this article is decent but needs more information on every subtopic. Specifically, I would begin by improving the "Human Trafficking" section. If you would like to know where I'm planning on finding this information, please visit my user page to see a list of sources!
