Nice article[edit]

Minor suggestion. It should be noted that the influence of organized crime in Puerto Rico grew once Castro and the Cuban Communist Party took control of Cuba and forced the American Mafia out of the island. Their money laundering operations through the Puerto Rican casinos, the prostitution operations run by the likes of Tony Tursi a member of the New York Gambino crime family and the cocaine drug dealings which became widespread.

Another thing which could be mentioned is the extent of the Puerto Rican organized crime syndicates in the 1980's. An example is "El Grupo" from Bayamon. They were a criminal organization which controlled many of the criminal actives and arson for profit in the Metropolitan area. They went down after the FBI arrested Alejo Maldonado, A Police Commander and the Arzola Brothers high ranking officers of the police. The gang involved many businessman, police officers, lawyers and judges. Think about it. Tony the Marine (talk) 19:36, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should DYK this article. It's new and very well done --Lenticel (talk) 04:20, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'll consider looking into that. And thank you. There's more information about the Puerto Rican mafia that probably should go in there as it keeps expanding. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 05:06, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
