The result of the move request was: move the disambiguation page and redirect Criminal lawyer to Criminal defense lawyer, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 19:03, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Criminal lawyerCriminal lawyer (disambiguation) – Per WP:TWODABS, this is a two-link disambiguation page with one clear primary topic - the Criminal defense lawyer - and one other topic, an obscure 1930s movie. The page should either be moved or deleted so that the term can redirect to its primary topic. bd2412 T 02:15, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. This redirect serves little useful purpose because both the article, Criminal defense lawyer, and the article describing the movie, Criminal Lawyer, already have hatnotes pointing to each other. However, since a number of links which apparently were intended for Criminal defense lawyer are pointing to this Criminal lawyer redirect, there also does not appear to be any harm in leaving Criminal lawyer as a redirect to Criminal defense lawyer. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 06:20, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect (and blank dab). This redirect serves a useful purpose in distinguishing "l" and "L". Otherwise anyone entering "l" would be sent to film. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:43, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment do we have a list or a category for lawyers who are criminals? We also have Jailhouse lawyer, for this to be a proper disambiguation page with 3 links -- 70.51.46.146 (talk) 05:38, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Even if we had such a list, Criminal defense lawyer would remain the primary topic of the term. bd2412 T 16:16, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • I didn't oppose your move nomination, only commenting on the existence of a disambiguation page, since it was redirected and not moved -- 70.51.46.146 (talk) 04:04, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
        • I suppose we could not criminals who act as lawyers (or act as their own lawyers), and lawyers who commit crimes, but I think it is a bit of a stretch to refer to either by the phrase "criminal lawyer". bd2412 T 16:19, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to Criminal defense lawyer. It's fine as a redirect. No reason to overcomplicate things. The lawyer, not the film, is the clear primary meaning and Criminal defense lawyer now has a hatnote to the film. I have reverted User:Roman Spinner's move, since we should wait until after the discussion is complete, but I agree this is the best course of action. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:25, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - move the disambiguation page to Criminal lawyer (disambiguation), and redirect this title to Criminal defense lawyer. It is clearly the primary topic. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 22:17, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as the primary topic, but this isn't a two-dabs situation—hatnote to Criminal lawyer (disambiguation). – Wbm1058 (talk) 05:05, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • To be clear, it is no longer a WP:TWODABS situation (it was one at the beginning of this process). I have now struck the alternative of deletion from my proposal. Cheers! bd2412 T 13:14, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
