  • Oh my goodness. This article is really awful. I'm a professional anthropologist with a Ph.D. in the field and I just can't endorse this in any way. The bit about 'false consciousness' is particularly bad. --Dylanfly 20:21, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • im NOT an anthropologist, and i can see how ridiculous this article was. i did a really quick cleanup. i sincerely hope someone with some knowledge can fix this. oh, ill put an expert tag on it. Mercurywoodrose (talk) 21:50, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I believe that this article could benefit from a small summary or listing of some notable scholars who have produced studies in critical enthnographic methodologies. Also, it might be helpful to provide a small bibliography of major works and studies in this field. I will attempt to track down information to compile both lists and accompanying references/links if possible. CaptainJonathan (talk) 21:42, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think that there is a broken reference link just hanging in the Reference section ("Conquergood, D. (1991). Rethinking ethnography: Towards a critical cultural politics. Communication Monographs, 58, 179-194."). Perhaps we could attempt to locate the relevent sentence/ piece of the article to formate the reference properly and make sure it is accurate. • There is an excellent article cited in the Suggested readings section by Simon & Dippo ('On critical ethnographic work') that succinctly describes critical ethnography in a few brief pages. I will review the article to gather ideas and examples that might help to polish the Summary section if possible. CaptainJonathan (talk) 02:02, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
