I removed the bomb threat reference because I thought it was such a commonplace occurance (I've had three in nearby East Grand Forks throughout my school career), and therefore did not warrant a place in the article. Brendan OShea 07:40, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

There was adequate information, and is relevant to the recent Red Lake shooting, because it WAS sparked by that. Crookston isn't a big enough of a town to use the school rule on. The Red Lake shooting was big enough to warrant a mention, but this isn't. It has plenty more story than "well, a bomb threat went in". It is believed to be the work of a ninth grader who commited suicide soon afterwards. -- A Link to the Past 03:30, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

photo problem[edit]

In "The Crookston Commercial Historic District" snap? That huge building on the right? It was razed like three or four years ago. It's now a parking lot. Make of that what you will.

And while I'm here: that opening (unsubstantiated) claim of many people who live in Crookston commute to jobs in the Grand Forks area? I get the feeling that even more commute INTO Crookston from Grand Forks. Call the Chamber of Commerce, but I think the claim is dubious at absolute best.

stuff to fix/update[edit]

Melbye hasn't been mayor for a year.

While there are maybe two oxbow lakes readily apparent in any map of the town, whoever included this factoid seems unaware that there's any difference between an oxbow and a meander.

I think there was a self-published book of local history put out a few years ago. As well, there was a column of historical subjects in the newspaper until last year.
