Dark Tower Connections

I've removed the list of porported DT connections, as they are thin to say the least. Please note that the story was written in 1980, long before the bulk of the Dark Tower was written, and it seems to me highly unlikely that King would have added so many connections to this relatively obscure story while overlooking so many more obvious ones. I mean, The Talisman wasn't even explicitly connected until Black House in 2001, and its similarities are much more pronounced than "Crouch End"s. As much as I love The Dark Tower and enjoy sussing out the connection to Kings other works, it think that it is more than a reach to link this story, espescially on such tenous grounds. Finally, Kings "official" list of connected works, the bolded titles from Wolves of the Calla does not include Nightmares and Dreamscapes. To me, this is the final word. Barring King making a statement to the effect that Crouch End is connected, I think it is safe to say that it is not. Brian Schlosser42 21:12, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

August 19, 1974?

I'm a bit confused by the supposed date that this story takes place in. Not only is this date not mentioned in any part of the story, one of the characters in the story makes are reference to a friend of his committing suicide in the summer of 1976, which would be two years later than the supposed date of this story. I would think this would mean this story would take place quite a few years later than 1974, probably around 1980, when this story was published. Usually, I would write this off as faulty information, except when I did a search for this story as well as this date, I found that several other websites have a similar description of the story with this exact same date. Now while this could just be an instance of other websites just copying inaccurate information from Wikipedia onto their website, or perhaps there's description for this story in editions of Nightmares and Dreamscapes other than the one I own, or perhaps this description is found in New Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos, where it was first published, or maybe this date was given on the TV adaptation on TNT.
