Plot Section Length[edit]

Is it just me or does the Plot section of this article seem particularly bloated? Does Wikipedia have guidelines for narrative analysis? Because it seems odd to be listing every single plot point. HeathrowArchives (talk) 20:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect from Crysis 2[edit]

Crysis 2 is not Crysis Warhead, why would it be linking to Crysis Warhead?

Exactly, linked back to Crysis. - colin002 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colin002 (talkcontribs) 06:03, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RPS Troll Article[edit]

The Rock, Paper, Shotgun article linked in the "Reception" section is actually a parody of some PC gamers' reaction to Crysis 2. The whole thing is just technobabble. I have removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.4.15.210 (talk) 21:27, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay info[edit]

Shouldn't that title be a subheading not a box? Zamadatix (talk) 16:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomad main character?????[edit]

I watched an interview on GameTrailers.com where they said that there is a NEW MAIN CHARACTER. http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/94&ch=1&sd=1_hd?ep=94&ch=1&sd=1_hd

why does it say 'idiotic'?[edit]

The first paragraph reads, "Crysis 2 is an idiotic set in New York City[5] in the year 2023" What does that mean? Did someone just sabotage the page or something? Can someone fix it? (I have no clue how to change it.) Thanks... 68.53.162.70 (talk) 06:35, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Leak[edit]

http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1058902-Crysis-2-leaked-49-days-early.

In case you didn't know, Crysis 2 has unfortunately been leaked (nope, not joking) and is now being spread across torrent sites everywhere.

Should there be a mention in the article? I'm not entirely sure, but even if I wanted to add something, I wouldn't even be sure where to put it in the article.

A conscience of mine is telling me that this isn't worthy of attention, as some games get leaked, such as L4D2, before release. However, the game hasn't even gone gold yet, and is about 50 days away from being released, a huge leak. Maybe not put something in here about it yet, but wait for the story to develop. CryTek is bound to respond, and it will likely be negative considering their past disapproval with pirates.

Add/Don't add? --98.197.239.179 (talk) 21:57, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Don't, for the time being. I have been following this for hours and so far it seems that Facepunch thread is the only source for the information - Rock Paper Shotgun and other industry news sites are all drawing from that same forum thread. I don't think it should be mentioned in the article at least until the leak is officially confirmed as real and not a hoax or rumor run rampant.

Ennuified (talk) 04:23, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is real, completely real. I never doubted it in the first place. EA has delivered a response, anyway. http://exophase.com/21408/ea-responds-to-crysis-2-pc-leak/ --98.197.239.179 (talk) 22:58, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Crytek can change any major part of the released leak. Cause at this stage of the production, they should only run tests and fix bugs. I downloaded the leak today. Seems to be working but has a lot of bugs. As far as I've played, it's just awesome and story seems to be better than of Crysis 1. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.234.84.179 (talk) 15:54, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

the story detail in the article is enough[edit]

do not reveal the plot until a year has passed 218.186.19.235 (talk) 13:27, 24 March 2011 (UTC) Yes, the game isn't even released in some countries. People come here to evaluate the game and whether they will buy it, but are presented with the plot. Do a show spoiler button or something 119.75.60.254 (talk) 05:57, 25 March 2011 (UTC)--[reply]

Wikipedia isn't censored per WP:CENSOR. If you don't want to know the plot, don't read the "Plot" section. --Daniel 06:31, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Crysis 2 Alcatraz.JPG Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Crysis 2 Alcatraz.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations

What should I do?

Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image for this article before it is deleted.

A further notification will be placed when/if the image is deleted. This notification is provided by a Bot, currently under trial --CommonsNotification (talk) 16:14, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Crysis 2 Alcatraz.JPG Deleted[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Crysis 2 Alcatraz.JPG, has been deleted from Wikimedia Commons by Túrelio for the following reason: Copyright violation: copyrighted character and artwork. --Kungfuman (talk) 16:12, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

You can remove the code for this image from the article text (which can look messy), however a different bot may already have done so. You could also try to search for new images to replace the one deleted. If you think the deletion was in error please raise the issue at Commons.

This notification is provided by a Bot, currently under trial --CommonsNotification (talk) 20:31, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have a picture of Alcatraz. But should I upload it? I think all images/videos created with the game are copyrighted automatically. --TheTechPriest (talk) 20:56, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Should the Immidiate post release fan response be added to reception?[edit]

I remember heading through the official forums only a few hours after release and the fan reaction by and large was horrible. most of the rage was revolving around the campaign mode, specifically the variety of bugs and glitches that were supposedly fixed during the public beta and apparently the fixes never made it to the campaign mode, most famously the 'blackout' glitch where the game would freeze and return a black screen seemingly at random —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryukage19 (talkcontribs) 12:31, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crysis 2: Maximum edition is now back on Steam![edit]

It had to happen of course, Crysis 2 is now again in the Steam store and returns as a 'Maximum Edition'. Crysis Maximum edition on the Steam Store. Is someone able to somehow put this into the article? I can't myself. Neither am I knowledgable enough to decide if it's important enough. I do know the problem initially started between C2 on steam and EA complaining about something of their rules. I can recall I wanted to buy it but the day after the store page was gone and I read about the argue. --Jorre22225 (talk) 21:03, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to all the review scores? They're all gone. You know, all the GameStop, IGN, reviews cores you know? They're gone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.184.39.55 (talk) 14:10, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Open world[edit]

Could this game be classified as open world?ECW28 (talk) 04:36, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No. The game comprises of discrete levels that take place on separate maps, and progression between the levels is linear. Indrek (talk) 13:52, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
