Dedication[edit]

If the church is known as St Beuno's (a saint well known for evangelisation) why is it said to be dedicated to Columba the Virgin? Note also that the National Monuments Record mentions it as "dedication unknown". Deipnosophista (talk) 15:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. The Lives of the British Saints: The Saints of Wales, Cornwall and ..., Volume 2 By S. Baring-Gould, John Fisher p166 gives it as a St Columba church but the only other sources I can find which give this dedication are wikipedia mirrors. Lots of other sites including The Church of England give it as St Beuno's, or no dedication/unknown dedication.— Rod talk 16:00, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As no sources came forward I have removed it. If anyone can find a reference it can be put back.— Rod talk 19:14, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
