1899 inception, and accident record[edit]

A comment was added to the opening paragraph stating that since its 1899 inception, there had never been an accident in cycle speedway resulting in serious injury or death. I have moved this comment to the end of the section on racing, as it felt more appropriate to the flow of the article, and reworded it somewhat. However, I have no idea whether either the 1899 date, or the accident record, are true, and have added [citation needed] tags. If the date is confirmed, then the section describing the origins of speedway as obscure will need revising; otherwise, the comment should go. --Che Gannarelli (talk) 14:36, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
