  • " Firinga isolated several towns from the flooding " "form the flooding" just sounds eh, change it to "due to flooding". YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Damage was estimated at around ₣1 billion (1989 francs, $157 million 1989 USD)," why do you mention the franc damage total here but not when you talk about Mauritius. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • The original source wasn't listed in Mauritius currency. I had to convert the Franc total, so I wanted to list the original first. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:27, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd combine the fist two paragraphs of the lead. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The MH is a bit short. When did it attain winds equal to Cat 2 status via the JTWC? Also, how close did it come to Maurtuius? You said it was "approaching" it. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Why is C2 important? JTWC doesn't even use that scale. And I say " Late on January 28, the cyclone passed about 50 km (31 mi) northwest of the island" - with regards to Mauritius. I think the MH can't be any longer unless I magically uncover some met. info. Right now it's mostly a description of the track, but that's unfortunately all I could find. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:27, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Impact" to "Preparations and impact". Wanna know why? "On January 28 while Firinga was approaching Réunion, officials on the island issued a level 1 tropical cyclone alert on the Organisation de la Réponse de SÉcurité Civile (ORSEC) plan. By the next day, this was raised to a level 3 when landfall was imminent.[7] The government of Mauritius also warned the citizens of the approach of the storm.[5]" cause this is preparations :P YE Pacific Hurricane

By the next day, this was raised to a level 3 when landfall was imminent.[7] The government of Mauritius also warned the citizens of the approach of the storm.[5]" Also, one thing. The storm was appr4aching Mauritius before Reunion, but Reunion is mentioned first. Why? Is this opposite day :P ? YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • I have an exact time when the warnings were issued on Réunion, but I don't for Mauritius since RW wasn't more helpful. I opted to list Réunion first because it had more significant impact for that reason. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:27, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • " wrecking 5,000 metric tons of sugar." any chance of a link to metric tons? I really don't know what they truly are. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • " and 600 mm (24 in) at Saint-Joseph." why is this here? This bit seems a bit random and should be thrown out of the article and into the WPTC garbage dump :P YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The high rainfall caused the Rivière Langevin to overflow its banks, causing significant flooding in Saint-Denis" "caused" and "cuasing" in the same sentence eh. Changed the second to "resulting in" or "which brought". YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • " Firinga was the third severely damaging cyclone of the 1980s, after Cyclone Hyacinthe in 1980 and Cyclone Clotilda in 1987.[8]" define "severely"? do you mean "most damaging" or "most expensive" or "costliest". YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • None of the above, actually. I have a few sources that lump Hyacinthe and Clotilda as severe storms on Reunion in the 1980s. I changed it to "third significant cyclone of the 1980s", maybe that's clearer? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:27, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Any reason why there is no see also section? I'd list Dina and Gamede there personally, along with possibly Hollanda (I'm not suggesting Hyacinthe and Clotilda since they were just linked. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 1:"National Hurricane Center. " to "United States National Hurricane Center. " I don't really see the point in this, but we do it with NHC refs nowadays, Idk why, but we do. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
