Why[edit]

Why medical? We have cybrids in tissue culture labs (plants). They are are birth from cytoplasts and protoplast.--Juan de Vojníkov 10:49, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Medical is probably not the most accurate of terms to use here, especially since in most cases the cybrids are being used for research. It might be a good idea to move the article to cytoplasmic hybrid, which wouldn't need a disambiguation, and then leave Cybrids (medical) as a redirect. —Constantine 22:14, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a medical topic. Try the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory to find a more appropriate project. WhatamIdoing (talk) 03:12, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One + one = cybrid ?[edit]

Please confirm that a cybrid is formed from only one whole cell and only one cytoplast. I already changed the topic sentence to singular, from 'Cybrids, or cytoplasmic hybrids, are eukaryotic cell lines produced by the fusion of whole cells with cytoplasts.' This is clearer, if it is in fact true. —Earthlyreason 04:46, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cybrid or cytoplasmic hybrid?[edit]

Which is most used? If 'cybrid', then that should be the page title. If 'cytoplasmic hybrid' then the topic sentence should not place 'hybrid' so prominently. Earthlyreason 04:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(When the embryo..)[edit]

The last paragraph of the article appears completely out of context.
