Was Rico formerly an independent company?[edit]

It now seems that Rico is simply a branch of d'Addario, but I'm wondering whether Rico might not have been an independent company formerly. I think Wikipedia should not just represent the newest development in a company's history but also former stages and document formerly existing companies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.51.98.230 (talk) 00:57, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

History of brands and sub-brands is unclear[edit]

The "family tree" of companies and subsidiaries is hard to sort out. When did the earlier name-based (C. D'Addario & Son, J. D'Addario, etc.) brands replace each other, or did they run in parallel in different locations/markets? When did the modern D'Addario name get adopted? Pronunciation[edit]

Could someone add the pronunciation pleased? I'm not able to, sorry. I heard a lot of people say it wrong, even in documentaries, calling it "Dee-addario" instead of "daddario". KhlavKhalash (talk) 18:07, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
