1. Support In London (which has a large English speaking community) DLR means Docklands Light Railway. This is clearly a TLA which can have more than one meaning and so should remain a disambiguation page. --Philip Baird Shearer 12:27, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

I oppose any such move. First, using full names is preferable to acronyms, unless the term is known near exlusively by the acronym, see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (acronyms). Second, I'm not convinced that the German Aerospace Center is the most common usage - in my experience Docklands Light Railway is as common, if not more common. So it is not a case of primary topic disambiguation. Also, listing the page for speedy deletion is not the correct way to move a page - listing it on Requested moves, then waiting for consensus is. So I have changed DLR back to a redirect DLR (disambiguation). --Vclaw 11:03, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

I understand you concerns, but if you look at what links to DLR, you can see that all links refer to the German Aerospace Center. Either I will change all the links to go straight to German Aerospace Center, or it could be moved here as it would be less onerous. If the consensus is to retain it as a disambig page, then please move back DLR (disambiguation) here. --Brisvegas 11:31, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

When I looked (in the last half hour) at what links to DLR only one article entry was to do with the German Aerospace Center which was the European Space Agency, so I have fixed it. It now links directly to the page German Aerospace Center. The other two which might have been connected to the German Aerospace Center: 1919 in aviation and Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/March in aviation/March 1 turned out to be DLR links meaning Deutsche Luft-Reederei. I have also fixed them. The rest are either talk pages or acronym pages. --Philip Baird Shearer 12:53, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

If the page DLR is going to go to a disambiguation page, what is the point of a separate page for DLR (disambiguation)? Couldn't DLR serve just as well? DLR (disambiguation) would only be needed if DLR were going to redirect to German Aerospace Center or whatever. Or is that how it was before? I'm confused. -lethe ^talk 03:12, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
